Was Colt Cabana in WWE?

Colt Cabana, who is best known by his real name, Chris Guy, was signed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) from 2007 to 2009. However, before that, he actually wrestled for WWE in 2004 under the name Scott Colton, which was his real name. Colton was a participant in the WWE Tough Enough reality show in 2004, where he finished in the top 10. After his time on the show, he got a few opportunities to wrestle on WWE Velocity and WWE SmackDown! However, WWE decided not to offer him a contract at the time. It seems like WWE decided to give him a second chance in 2007, when they signed him to a developmental contract and assigned him to their Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) territory.

In OVW, Colton was paired with Paul Burchill as the team The Kings of Wrestling. They were a successful tag team in OVW, even holding the OVW Southern Tag Team Championship once. Colton did well enough to get called up to the main roster in 2008. He was renamed “The Real” Chris Guy, and he became a regular on WWE Superstars, which was WWE’s new program dedicated to showcasing their developmental talent. He also got some opportunities to wrestle on the main shows, WWE Raw and WWE SmackDown!. He actually had a good run, and he was known for his high-flying style and his ability to work with a variety of opponents. However, WWE ultimately released him from his contract in 2009. It is interesting to note that he was released shortly after he began performing under the name “The Real” Chris Guy. Even though he was never given a real opportunity to shine on WWE’s main roster, he did manage to leave his mark on the company during his time there.
